Avocado Oil

Avocado Oil

What is Avocado Oil?

As you may have guessed, avocado oil comes from Avocados! Some folks assume it comes from the seed, but it comes from the fruit. Yep, the same stuff that goes on your avocado toast!

Avocado oil contains beta carotene, protein, lecithin, fatty acids, and vitamins A, D, and E, which moisturize and protect skin from UV rays and may also increase the soluble collagen content of the skin. Avocado oil also contains linoleic and oleic acid, which may speed healing.

Quick Facts

Collagen

May inhibit the breakdown of collagen in the skin and increase the soluble collagen content.

Antioxidant

Avocado oil is rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from environmental damage.

Hydration

Rich, thick avocado oil acts as an occlusive that seals in hydration and protects the skin from transdermal water loss.

Softens and Soothes

The fatty acids in Avocado oil are emollient and soften and soothe the skin.

Anti-inflammatory

Those same fatty acids that soothe and soften the skin also act as an anti-inflammatory protecting the skin from skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, and eczema.
